Hello all,
I am new to this web site.
I am seeking information about Ronald Harry Taylor born 1924 Bognor Regis, Sussex, England.
Ronald joined the British Merchant Navy in WW2.
I believe he worked on many ships mainly transporting troops to various areas of the world including North Africa, Sicily, Italy and other areas.
I also believe he received many medals including Atlantic Star, Burma Star, Battle of Atlantic and more.
What I can't find is any records of his.
I am open to any help or suggestions.
I have spent ten years researching both sides of my family, written one book on the Norris side and stuck on Ronald Harry Taylor.
I am based in Australia so I cant just call into any record offices as they are a world away from me.
Thanking you in advance
Paul Norris

Hi Paul, can't really help as I believe WW11 records are not released unless you apply to TNA & pay a fee. This site may help a bit.:

To save duplication of effort, Paul also has been referred to the research guides published by the TNA for the Merchant Navy and the Royal Navy, and FWR records résumé of Royal Navy records in his 'introduce yourself' thread here. (Posts # 2 & 3)
