Default Service Certificate and Service Records-

I have my Dad's certificate of Service. Will the Service Records from Navy records tell me any more ?

Just in case anyone ever looks at this query I have found the answer for myself.

downloaded WW1 service info from TNA at cost of 3 pounds odd and it had the same infor as on the service record.

Checked out what I would get for 30 pounds from Naval records and it would appear to be just a transcript of the service certificate that I have. It would appear that there are no copies of attestation papers or the like.

    Cheers Ed

About 60% of WW1 service records didn't survive the fires of WW2. I always feel lucky when I find more than the medal card!
