Hello,
I started working on my family tree few months ago.
Until now I have few information, now I'm feeling in the middle of a crossroad.
I found my grandfather's old passport, from there I searched for a birth certificate and I got it.
He was born in Mauritius, in 1897 (during British rule).
Now I have his parents names: Charles Lewis Harris and Marie Marguerite Touchard. He had siblings (Walter Geoffroy Harris, Charles Douglas Harris) and I found parish documents about them, He also had a sister Winnie.
Tried to contact some associations in Mauritius but they don't have much info about the British Period.
I would like to know how can I get My great grandfathers documents? I don't know when or where (in the UK) he was born... I heard he worked to the merchant navy
If anyone have an idea, something to help me please contact me.
Thank you very much
