hi all,
im trying to trace my late fathers RAF history.
His name was Ron Jennings and served from 1948 I think. He was based in Barkway and Nuthampstead near Royston in Hertfordshire. I remember him saying something about MT 51 and also 208 squadron. He also served out in cypress and Egypt.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Ron Jennings JNR

Firstly, welcome to Brit Gen.
Service records from WW2 and thereafter have not been released by the MOD. However, you can buy a copy of his records from them - the forms are HERE.
Information can sometimes be found from the Associations for different areas of the RAF, depending on the trade or squadron involved. Do you know what he did?

I've found one website for MT section people, HERE. There may be others.
Your best bet is his RAF records, though. It can take several months (and you'll need a copy of his death cert) but it's well worth doing it. I got my Dad's last year.
