    Default Herbert George Hughes

    Hi,

    My uncle Herbert George Hughes was in the RAF as a LAC in WW2 and was demobed in 1945 His DOB 27/01/1915 born in London. Not sure of what base he seved?

    do you have anymore information such as a Service Number?

    Though WW2 records currently available are for those injured or killed in action, those receiving awards or those captured as a P.O.W. etc. Unfortunately all WW2 "service records" are still restricted/classified and only held by the MOD. They are not being officially released until 75 years after the end of WW2 i.e. 2019.

    Please note that this will cost about £30 and there is a wait for upto 12 months, though the ONLY place you will get his service records.
