Just spotted a message in the Society of Genealogists mailing list to the effect that the Probate Service is increasing the cost of copies of wills & grants from £6 to £10 from 22 April.
Now sounds like a good time to order those wills!

Thanks Peter, I keep forgetting to send of for non-direct ancestor's wills, so now is a good time to get searching and buy them before the price goes up!

Thanks again...I have just discovered a direct ancestor's will that I missed previously as his surname was mis-spelt as Conwell instead of Cornwall!

I'm already up to fifteen 'wanted' without seriously thinking about names so I definitely need to send for them now.
Thanks from me, too, Peter.

Don't suppose the cost increase will co-incide with them starting to accept credit cards will it??
Would be so much easier (and cheaper) for those of us not living in Britain
