Default Squadron Leader Kenneth William Hughes

    Hi,
I am researching the above named individual on behalf of his family. His Family Tree has been easy, but I have hit a brick wall with regards to his Military Service. The family have a picture of him in his uniform, that of a Squadron Leader during WW2, and believe that he might have served in Bomber Command. Like so many of the brave men from back then, he didn't talk about his service time.
He was born 8.03.1922 and died in 2000.

Any advice, assistance or whatever will be much appreciated. Thank you in anticipation.

    HI

You will need to apply for his service record- https://www.veterans-uk.info/service_...e_records.html
That is about the only way to get information.
Then when you have the squadron he was in - https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/r...cord-books.htm

    regards

    Robert
