I have a photo of my father taken in the Pioneer Squad on 25 Aug 1945 at Muda Barracks,Minden. What would the Pioneer Squad be involved in at that time?

Hello Eric.
If you want to have a good look to see what the 607 Regiment was doing during 1945 then your best bet would be the war diaries. You will need to get access to the National Archives, Kew or ask nicely some of the members of this forum who have 'Reader Tickets' too take some pics from the following records:
Reference: WO 171/5054
Description: 607 Regt.
Date: 1945 Mar.- Dec.
