    Default Finding citation for DFC

    I'm sure this is a much-asked question. I'm trying to find the citation for my father's DFC. He was George Highton and I've found the listing of his DFC in the London Gazette on 15th September 1944 but that's as far as I can get. I realise I may have to go to the National Archives at Kew but any other suggestions as to where to look would be much appreciated. In case it helps, he first flew with 192 Squadron until April 1944 then after becoming a flying instructor he joined HQ Bomber Command in November 1944.
