    Hello Lee

WW11 records are still held only by the Ministry of Defence. You can apply for them Here

    Thanks Christina,

already looked there lol and having already spent many hundreds of pounds of NA document I'm not looking to spend a penny more Hahahah (Who am I kidding) was hoping for something free?

It's really annoying having to keep paying for these documents, it's about time they were made downloadable, I don't mind paying a little bit but the amount they charge is ridiculous (whinge over lol)

I'm researching a SOE Air Force Squadron, we've already purchased the entire catalogue of monthly diary sheets and mission logs, so a little negative towards purchasing anything more (for a little while any way), I was just following up on a diary sheet entry that discusses the court martial of a leading Aircraftman (for striking a superior officer).

No matter will have to wait a while I guess

    Thanks again, Lee

Without knowing where you live Lee, this could prove expensive and problematic but I'd recommend a trip to the National Archives and pull the file for yourself.

Entry to the Archives, a Readers ticket and requesting the appropriate document are free. You just have to pay the associated travel cost of getting there from wherever you are.

Here's hoping you are based in Reading for example rather than Glasgow!!

    Regards,

    Tom

HAHAHA!!! You couldn't live further away in the UK if you tried!!

I do recommend getting yourself down there when you can and coming that far I'd suggest you get yourself a hotel and stay a couple of days as well, make a holiday of it!

    Regards,

    Tom
