You can easily get the information yourself from FMP's newspaper database: British Newspapers 1710 - 1953. If you don't have a subscription to FMP you can buy 'pay as you go' credits. FMP do NOT allow us to post details from their collection.

I suggest you search by name: Arthur HARRY Taylor, there's a lot of interesting reading.

No problem I have been busy reading the articles found......

In a nutshell, Maj TAYLOR co erced hs wife and sister in Law, Mrs Louise HUDSON of Bicester to sign tax forms, receive the tax repayment on and pass it to him

Mrs Louise HUDSON sister of Mrs TAYLOR admitted that She signed several documents in the name of ‘Helen WATSON’ and also used the signature ‘L JACKSON’ .
The forms to be filled in by her were always received from TAYLOR, along with instructions written in pencil which she was to write over in ink ( Presumably fountain pen style). She did stress she never received any benefit for herself from the claims made.

Mrs HUDSON knew that Maj TAYLOR sometimes used the name of ‘H WATSON’.

To spupport the comment that Kate TAYLOR was his half sister, Maj TAYLOR swore an administrators oath ( this was to obtain authority to deal with the 'deceased's estate) he then suggested that KELLEY and 2 others were responsible for the death of the woman in 1925

Mother of Louise & Kate is Emma Elizabeth JACKSON

Having read all that and knowing that it was so simple to do and was a method used for at least 25 years after, I haven't been able to find the sentencing details, BUT then maybe they haven't been digitised yet the papers NOT the people!

KELLY who was described as a Commission AGent was formerly an Inland Revenue Official
