    Here's a strange one for you .
    My late father was Far East on bombers ( Air Gunner) flying up and down the Burma Road,
    I could be wrong think it might have been part of South East Asia Command ( S.E.A.C. ) it 's always amazing to think that acronyms aren't a modern thing not just thought of by latest generation lol
    Sorry off topic drifted off there OK back to the story after the war, in 1950 I found he was waiting in South Africa awaiting the ship to get back to the UK then onto RAF Gloucester for demob. I am still awaiting for my mum to send out a copy of his logbook.

    I hope the log book gives the information you are looking for.

    I have found big gaps in the recording of information of how individual soldiers got home after the war, and their demob, nothing on service records.
