Have just been looking at some records on Anc which are listed as Electoral Records for The City of London 1835.
Under the Liverymen qualification there are Francis Jury and John Jury from Wapping, both lightermen and Watermen, but they are listed under the heading "Musicians " !.
Now if this was Venice........:-)
Anyway, can anyone throw any light ?
cheers Ed
