Abbott Family County Cork Ireland

I am looking for a Duncan Dunbar Abbott born 1843 in Devon England who died in Rockenham, West Passage, Cork on 5 July, no other information. Also a Dick Abbott could be Richard Dunbar Abbott he was born in Cork in 1871, he was at school in England according to the 1881 census but does not appear in either the 1891 or 1901 UK census.

Can anyone help please.

A birth in 1871 might be on the LDS British Isles Vital Records Index CDs.

I have in my database a Creagh [co. Cork connected] marriage to an Ezekiel Tidd Abbott. Probably early 1800's. I can dig to see if there is more info, if it is of possible interest.

Thank you for your reply. Duncan was the first member of the family to go to Ireland therefore anything earlier than around maybe 1860 wouldnt be our Abbotts.

Oh well. :( I thought he might have gone there from Devon because he had cousins or other relatives already there.
