Default Dorset History Centre - Lookup?

Does anyone go to the Dorset History Centre, Dorchester? I would be very grateful if someone could look at the records they hold for the Herrison Hospital for someone admitted there over 100 years ago (so open access information).

Many thanks if you can help

Duh! On re-reading, of course people go there - I mean, does anyone on this forum go there!

Not necessarily. It depends how the records are filed. If the file is closed, only staff can extract the records that you want.

Dorset History Centre has a research service. See their web site.

Thanks Peter - I know about the research service. At £30/hour (and no refund if person not found) I was (at least initially) hoping to get a handle on whatever information was available prior to shelling out anything for someone who is not a direct ancestor.

If anyone goes there, please let me know. I have a list of the likely relevant Catalogue References
