Smile My first probate lookup request

I’d be grateful if someone could look up for me details of probate for Mary Moreland Moffat(t) who died March quarter 1942 in Weston(Weston-super-mare).

Also, does anyone know if there are much earlier probate records available? I’m hoping to find info about a Robert Moffat of Berwick-upon-Tweed who died in 1823.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Thank you so much - was hoping to find a rellie or two mentioned, but never mind, there's an address and a definite date of death. Your help is much appreciated

There is an entry in the Cheshire & Lancashire: - Wills and Administrations, 1821-1825
for a Robert Moffat who died Aug 1824. He was a commission agent.
I cannot see anything for Northumberland, if that is where he died and I do not know if records for there are on line.

    Hello

You have been given details of the Grant of Probate. i.e the legal document confirming the executor who has been appointed to act in connection with the deceased's estate, collect in the money and pay the debts and bequests etc.....You now require the will made by the deceased instructing any bequests to be made, this will be appended to the Grant of Probate

You need to refer to this site
    https://
    https://www.justice.gov.uk/courts/pro...f-grants-wills

    and the

    Bristol District Probate Registry
    2 Redcliff Street
    Bristol England
    BS1 6GR

The cost is £6 per deceased person.....

That's good news. Was the will online or do you have to send off for it?
