Can anyone help me please,
I am trying (with no luck at all) to find a death record of William Hillier between 1791 - 1799. I'm getting really cheesed off now because every time I search I just keep getting Dorset or Middlesex. He lived in Wilcot Wiltshire - spouse Mary ??? (don't even know if they were married - can't find anything on that either)..
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thankou
Wendy

Family Search has a burial for a William HILLIER on 30th May 1796, but it just states Wiltshire - no town, village etc Source Film Number: 1279305.
Maybe order the film at your local Family History Centre to see if there are any further clues?

Thanks Jan,
We don't have a local FH centre here and I work till 7pm so it's a bit difficult for me. I will have a look at the entry you have mentioned though thank you very much.

Don't forget to look for all the various spellings of Hillier. (Hillier/Hilier/Hillyer/Hilyer/Hellier/Helier/Hellyer/Helyer - there are probably more....!!)
Best wishes
Ann

F*P has the following parish burial
William Hillier, 30 May 1796, Easton Grey, Wilts
(source - National Burial Index/Wilts FHS)
William Hillier, d. 17__, Easton Grey, son of Samuel & Elizabeth
(source - Wiltshire Memorial Inscription Index/Wilts FHS)
Could be the burial identified by Jan? But Easton Grey some distance from Wilton.
F*P also includes a number of possible Hilliers (William, W only or with addn given name) from the Wiltshire Memorial Inscription Index. However, these do not include date of burial (condition of the grave when details gathered) but the locations include Bremilham, Chippenham Cemetery, Chisledon, Melksham, Sherston Magna (x3), West Lavington, Winterbourne Monkton, Semley, Winterbourn Basset - nothing for Wilcot.

Would appreciate any help finding Henry Hillier married Ann Golding in Castle Combe, Wiltshire where they are buried. Any information on this Hillier family I would truly appreciate. Wendy
