After years searchig for susan ralston,i tried 1841 census found widow ralston wiith dauts susan, agnes glasgow
checking wed certs for agnes wed dunoon to andrew mcfarlane coachman her mother was rachel arrol. father thomas ralston. same at death Certs. Now wed at gorbals 1828 has rachel arrol to thomas ralston, susan names mother as susan arrol to thomas.
have census dunoon for all mcfarlanes. iI have photo of john henderson with susan tweedale

Sorry .wrong arrols were from Glasgow Gorbals not from Helensburgh. anyone searching any Arrols records may be found on John rrol's U.S.A book, which i have A copy.

Many, many thanks for your information. It has helped a lot. Susan Ralston (b. 1834 d. 1906) and her husband William Tweeddale are my 2nd great-grandparents. Their daughter Susan Tweeddale Henderson is my great grand aunt. Hope that explains the connection. I couldn't find your family tree but sometimes not all trees appear!!

georgina death 1931 at 184 rutherglen rd gorbals 1st wed to 1878 duncan mcinnes. 2nd1897 hugh shields . georgina Feeney niece present.
agnes mcfarlane son present at her death malcolm mcfarlane 1911 at burnside pl. portglasgow rd kilmacolm age 48 coach hirer employer. all his children b at blairmore by dunoon.
will find old list of tweedales tweedle some where ..if yow give me grans name and gt grans sure to trace tree. better hide my papers on floor before my wife sees them. just rememberd both ralston and tweedales were sherrif fe officers and messengers at on time.
