Margaret Maria Bush (later Harrison) is my grandmother and the only one of six children born to Thomas and Elizabeth Bush for whom I have not been able to find a birth certificate. Family lore says that she was born in Victoria in 1858. Her siblings were Samuel Thomas born 1855 in Newcastle, Elizabeth born 1860 at Wallsend, Mark born 1862 at Woolloongong, Martha Ann born 1863 at Tamworth and Jane born 1865 at Bowral.
The connection between Margaret Bush and her parents Thomas and Elizabeth was very real with Thomas and Elizabeth living in the same community from around 1886 until the deaths of Thomas and Elizabeth in 1905.
