Thank you one and all,I think I cracked it!!!!She was a single mum, and a furrier...as were two of her sisters...furriers, not single mums. Found the two sisters with their mother on the 1901 census.

It really does, Colin. No, Mary Frances wasn't with them on the 1901 census, but then two of Catherine's siblings are missing too so she may turn up there when I find them.
