Hallo,
Today I have started a second research. This is about my english grandmother Elizabeth Hakesley.
She was married to Thomas Anderson.
Marriage: 24 Dec 1918 Stamford Road Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, Mossley, Lancashire, England
Thomas Anderson - 26 years Assurance Agent Bachelor of 2 Carter St. Mossley
Elizabeth Hakesley - 22 years Wire Worker Spinster of 28 Mayall St. Mossley
Groom's Father: Thomas Anderson, Labourer (Print Works)
Bride's Father: Henry Albert Hakesley, Labourer
Witness: Arthur Strangeway; Priscilla Strangeway
Married by Certificate by: Chas. J. Cumberworth Authorised Person for the said Chapel
Register: Marriages 1909 - 1921, Page 19, Entry 38
Source: LDS Film 2357134
She had three sons.
Thomas Anderson
Gilbert Anderson (born 14-06-1923 - Died 25-09-1944)
G Anderson (born 08-11-1934 Mossley)
I do know that my grandfather Thomas Anderson was born in Strathblane Scotland. I do believe that my grandmother was born in Manchester. I quess that her mother had died young.
Greetings
Tanja

Was Priscilla married to Arthur Strangway?

Leah married Charles WALKER Sep 1921 Ashton under Lyne Vol 8D Page 1173
so now we need to ascertain whether Elizabeth did marry as Eliza. There is a marriage for an Elizabeth HAKESLEY to Charles DAVIS but in Aston, Warwickshire
