Dear all

My father has a contact for someone at 109 MU, which I understand to be a maintenance unit at RAF Abiad/Abyad in Egypt. My father was in the Royal Marines and in Egypt Aug 1942. I can only find I formation for 109 from 1943 onwards. Would anyone have any further info about this as I am trying to trace my father's whereabouts and the connection to this unit.
