Wink Introduction (DWYER) - great community spirit

Hi, I have been researching my family tree since the Internet first began and have had occasional success a few times a year when I have put some effort into the task. My mother dying recently has inspired me to commit to the task in a productive way - actually paying for one of the online genealogy research sites and having some success. However it it's killing me and I have found 36 hours solid searching to be a bit much. I am wiser and try to not digress or chase unlikely paths

I have had a surprising amount of success and have encountered all the likely problems of tracing the wrong path, not finding anything and simply having little family history to start with. It appears most of my family rarely lives beyond 60

    * I will remove this if not OK in introduction post.
    I am searching for:
DWYER (Merthyr Tydfil, Wales - Cork, Ireland)
NEVIN (Watford, Hertfordshire, England - Limerick, Ireland)
    KNIGHT (Edmonton, Middlesex, England

    Best regards
    Trevor

Hello Trevor - welcome to Brit-Gen

It is so easy to become side-tracked when researching, but sometimes that is how you can find answers to questions in your direct line! We have all been there and done it - some of us still are.....

Have a good look round and post those questions and we will do all that we can to help.

    Enjoy yourself!
