Talking Hello I'm new to this site

    Hi everyone

Stumbled across this site when I was browsing the internet, quite late one evening looking for 'more' information to help with my family history.
I have been doing my tree for a number of years now, collecting names and dates, with limited information about the actual people. I suppose that's because I work nights, sleep in the day and am ruled by my computer, should really get out there and do some proper investigating, cause that's how I feel sometimes when I find something interesting. Which I might add, its what I have found at the moment, a family that need 'flesh on the bones, and to be dressed.' But not here, need to find the correct place with my 'can anyone help' title. I'm rambling, sorry ...so you have probably guessed what kind of a person I am by now

Families who I am interested in are, and there's a few to say the least.... BECK from Loughborough. MAPPIN from Sheffiled who are connected to HOWE, and WALkLAND from Nottinghamshire. DEAN from Leicestershire who are connected to BLAKE and POTTER also from Leicester, who have connections with JENNETT and BARRIE from northampton, Scotland and Ireland. SMITH, SMYTHE, from Northen Ireland.

The POTTER's are who I would like to concentrate on (if its possible for me!) as children have been found in Poor Law Hospital, Ragged schools, a male in prison, and Navy, have put feelers out there but response is a bit slow at comming back, which is appreciated, as I realise not everyone, sleeps, eats, thinks, talks family tree hehe. My focus is on a missing ancester at the moment in 1911, female, so that's where I would like to head with my first post, if anyone was patient enough to stay with this post, may guide me.

Just like to say, thanks for accepting me on this site, and what a great site it seems to be, keep up the good work

    Regards Becksome

    Welcome Becksome
You will be very welcome here and I hope you get a lot of help with your family. I am still enjoying and rereading information I got on the site three years ago.
    Look forward to your posts.
