Last time I wrote was on the 31st December 2010 when I was trying to locate the childrens names of Thomas and Sarah Maria Cook.
I'm very pleased to tell you that I have found the following:
William, born 1862
Frederick, born 1864
Annie Louisa, born 1865
John, born 1868
Henry, born 1870
Then there were three girls (I believe); the document I have lists the names
and the writing is illegible although the one born in 1876 could be Janette or Janelle.
They were born 1872, 1874 and 1876.
The document I have is the birth certificate of the daughter of Thomas and his second wife, Janette Cook nee Smith. The baby's name was Ethel Josephine Cook and she was born in August, 1882 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Now that I have these further details, would anyone have more information that they have access to, to
confirm the names of the three girls to Thomas and Sarah Maria Cook?
There were twelve children born to Thomas and Sarah Maria Cook, however, only eight living at the time of Sarah Maria's death in childbirth 1878. It seems that the baby also died. I don't have any record at all of the three others who may have been stillborn.
All the children born to Thomas and Sarah were born in Otago, New Zealand.
The three children born to Thomas and Janette were all born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Thank you in anticipation that someone can help in this regard.
Regards,
Sandeea

Parents Thomas Cook and Janet Smith...
Herbert Dempster Cook brn Melb 1888 Reg No 4957 parents Thomas Cook Janette Smith
Not sure if it would help to purchase one of these birth certs..( mother noted as Janet on his death record in W.A 1966))

Thanks Val. I do have the other certificates and Thomas and Sarah's children are not mentioned on those Birth Certificates (Ormond and Herbert's). They are only listed on Ethel's. I'm going to keep working at it!
Thank you for your help.

Hi everyone - is it possible for me to send you a copy of the certificate with the previous children of Sarah and Thomas listed. There are just the three names I'm having trouble with at the moment. Perhaps there is someone via B-G who can read this really awful writing. I see that I can insert an image, however, I'm not sure if the photo can be picked up that way from the area in which my photos are stored. Can anyone suggest how I do this.
Thank you.

It is possible to post an image if you use a site like Photobucket. The instructions are here.

Cook Children
I think I've made a mistake along the way. Will try again later (maybe).
Sorry,
