    Default ron ravenscroft MAERON

I first joined about 5 years ago being a OAP started to gather bits of info,re my Family tree.
I got together a Lot-of bits of paper, it got that bad that I needed a Big Filing system. So I decided to
put all the BITS into a Book form, and it all came together quite good over 100 pages back to14th century
I then looked at getting it printed------WOW thats when I got a shock, rules and regulations and the
costs over £2,000. so i finally decided to have ten printed for my own family and friends with no charge.
All this was 5 years ago. I now find I have gathered a lot more info and considering a "2nd Edition"
during my research I have been told that a book. titled --Middlewich 900---1900 wrote by A.L. Earl in
1900, by Ravenscroft publications.contains a lot of info on the Ravenscrofts, I have tried everywhere for
this I would like to buy-copy--loan it from any one --PLEASE.However I have traced one in the British
Library in London, and they say I have to go to London to read it, being an OAP I cannot go.
    Does anyone have any suggestions
    Thank you RONALD GEORGE RAVENSCROFT

    Hello Ron and welcome back,

Have you contacted your local library service?

I have just googled the book and an old (1998) query on Rootsweb raised its head and the enquirer stated that they had come across a copy in Middlewich Library. Perhaps it is something that the inter-library loan system could find for you.

    Default book --middlewich 900--1900 Ravenscroft

hi, thanks for suggestions, ----yes I have been able to get the book from Middlewich
Library, But slightly dissapointed ,as I was told it contained a few bits of the early
ravenscrofts, although it did have a photo of early Ravenscroft Hall which I had not
    seen before
Looking for any 16th--17 century Ravenscroft

Do you --anybody--know how I can trace , the first Knight who was given the Ravenscrofts
    coat of arms.
