Tennis is not my favourite sport, but whenever a "Brit" has a chance at a place in history, I feel a need to recognize his achievement thus far.
The weather looks good for tomorrow - 18 degrees with sun and showers. That is refreshing. Here today it is 36 and the humidex makes it feel like 45 - in other words "beer drinking wevver".
Let's go Andy and I'll forget the debacle of England in the football of last week.
Colin

I find that very hard to believe, given he's played for Team GBR many times in the Davis Cup!
He did once say about football that he would "support anyone but England", which I would expect any self-respecting Scot with a sense of humour to say! Or course the English press jumped all over this, and he later had to explain it was a joke.
The weather forecast for SW19 on Sunday is poor, but it doesn't matter - Centre Court has a roof! Go Andy!!

According to Wikipedia which offers sources to back up it's article, Andy Murray states he's both Scottish and British.

Andy has beaten Fed so he can do it if he plays really well. I hope he is not too nervous.
Even if he loses Andy is still a great tennis player.
Go Andy go.

Am I a lone voice for Roger - did you read about the man who bequeathed his bet on Roger to beat Sampras's record to Oxfam - they stand to get £100,00 if Federer beats Murray tomorrow.

As a huge tennis fan I would love to see a Brit win wimbledon and I really hope Andy plays well tomorrow. He has beaten the top 3 players in other events but not in the Grand Slams but lets hope he can keep his head together. Saying that though I would also love Roger to win another grand slam as he is the greatest player ever and such a nice person with it. So I shall be sitting on the sofa (and the fence!!), strawberries and cream to hand and cheering on both players and hopefully watching some great tennis - god I wish I was there!!

A fantastic game. well played to them both. And the England Ladies beat India in the cricket at Truro almost at the same time!
