If she was unable to read or write and just made her mark, then she wouldn't know what the record contained.

Again, as Olliecat says, pure speculation and until we hear back from the original poster we are 'flying by the seat of our pants'.

Thank you for all your help-from what I can see they had -Elizabeth-1846;Ann and Jemima-1848 (twins);Robert-1865;Nancy-1869;Matthew-1870;Lucy Ellen-1872. There is also Moses who I cannot find on ukbmd but is in the later census information.

This looks like his birth registration.

Lancashire Birth indexes for the years: 1855
ENYON Moses, Wigan, Wigan & Leigh, JOHNSON

Edit: Just to add, looking at your list of children and cross-referencing between the Lancashire BMD, the Lancashire OPC (baptisms and burials) and Family Search, I think they had more children than this. For example, Family Search has a baptism for an Aaron Ennion, on 02 Apr 1851 at Wigan, parents Job and Ellen. You will find a burial for Aaron on the OPC. There is also a baptism for Rachel Enion on 29 Sep 1860. The Lancashire BMD has a long list of ENION/ENYON/ENNION children where the mother's maiden name is Johnson.

There is also a birth and death registration in the same q. [1847 Apr-Jun] for a son Aaron who may be Job and Ellen's and born between Elizabeth and the twins. This is from GRO.

I am of the same opinion as olliecat that there are probabnly several more children that didn't survive infancy or early childhood.

Having had a look at GRO births and deaths for Enion/Enyon/Ennion between the date of marriage in 1846 and Ellen's death at age 49 in the Jan-Mar q. 1878, I believe you are going to have your hands full of a family.
