    Default Divorce Records

I have 2 occurrences of divorce in my tree, 1 in the late 1930's early 40's and 1 in the 1950's

Are there any records I could find?

    All parties are deceased

Thank you Jan. Will have a look now.

Ah they only have Divorce case files (1858-1937) and they're not in there, so it looks like they were both post 1937.

Not gonna get em then am I. Oh well it was worth a try

    Thanks Jan

Scroll down on the link that I provided and you get:

What records can I find in other archives and organisations?

    Decrees absolute (1858 to present)

Find the decree absolute to obtain legal proof of a divorce in England or Wales by requesting a search (£) of the Central Index of Decrees Absolute. To do so, download Form D440 from Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service website and post it to the Principal Registry of the Family Division.

So click back onto that link and then download Form D440. Okay, so it will cost you, but hey!
