I was waiting to watch the news and saw the last few minutes, then extra time and then the sudden death.
I had the sound off which was excellent.
In the last 10 minutes of the game before extra time all the men on the field appeared to be wasting time. Then they all had to have a rest and their legs massaged. They are clearly not as fit as most of the tennis players today. They do a lot of running for hours not 90 minutes.

Definitely not as fit as tennis players, to win Wimbledon Djokovic had to play seven matches in two weeks, most of which averaged 3 to 3 and a half hours - I know I'd be pretty knackered but when he won he looked like he hadn't even broken sweat!! Bring on this year, the TV remote is MINE!!!!

Portugal are definitely NOT happy bunnies this evening!
I better put my Portugal/England t-shirt back in the bottom of the drawer.

Not the game I anticipated given the 'name' players on both sides.
Maybe Germany-Italy may be a better contest - there may be the 'odd attempt at scoring' - goals, I mean
My England shirt is away - nicely laundered and waiting for 2014.

So did you watch the final? Spain played some impressive passing football but the contest ended when Italy were reduced to 10 men.
Roll on the English season so I can get really interested again!!!!

Yes, David, I watched both the semi-final [Italy vs. Germany] and the final yesterday. Both teams in the former played, in my opinion, to win rather than not to lose. It was a refreshing change after watching 4 hours of football with no goals being scored
Yesterday's game was impressive from the standpoint of Spain - their passing and control of the game in the 1st half. As you say the game was over when Italy lost a player and were reduced to 10 men. Again, in my opinion, it was a managerial error as they used ther subs. to early and had none in reserve. The last goals were a bit of a low blow but on occasion the heat of the moment will take over.
As for my bets, I did manage to come out ahaed.
The English Prem. League looks to be an interesting season. Tottenham will slide without Harry, Man. City, Man.u. and Chelsea, will spend much and dominate and as for Arsenal, unless they imorove the squad, they'll be hard put to finish 4th. Some teams that were in the middle 6th - 10th may challenger the Gunners. The rest may just struggle to survive and avoid relegation. I am looking forward to it very much.
The Scottish Prem. League is in a total mess and Celtic will again dominate.
Cheers
Colin
