Does anyone know what SOSA stands for?I am currently researching French Genealogy, and have come across these initials several times, but cannot find their meaning. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

This possibly relates to the Sosa Method or the Sosa-Stradonitz System of numbering ancestors. Have a look here:-
