Not to put a damper on, but there are times when a deceased person is found- unidentifiable. Sometimes many years after death. Just one of the woes of a pretty big Country for all of it's rugged beauty.
You could try emailing Wiluna Policce Station yourself, an adventure if nothing else. I don't know if stat declaration would be require for that info, but you'd be hard pressed to fill one in & sign it. Out there Police probably cover a large area & may not be present at all times due to that, but they may also appreciate to adventure of a search for any info.
Have a go, nothing ventured nothing...etc.

Hi Jill,
Have you come across this thread on another message board (from July 2011)?
http://boards.
ancestry.com.au/thread.aspx?mv=flat&m=1632&p=localities.oceania.au stralia.wa.general
"Henry WATSON disappeared in West Aust"
If nothing else it might help you to connect to someone else looking for the same person, and she seems to be local to WA. Sorry if I'm giving you information you already have.

To WAITABIT, KATH in NZ, ESSBEE
Please excuse the combined reply but this is the only way I know of replying and am not sure what happens if I go
to each message and click on reply there.
1) WAITABIT
Yes thanks, I am going to email Wiluna Police Station again. I was in email contact with them last year and those emails
ended with the info I gave re they may know of someone aged 102. But I have now got a new contact in Wiluna because
I emailed a couple of weeks ago, to find out about visiting to see where Harry was last seen ie if I go to Perth how do I get
there etc. etc. (that's another story!) so ...
will email my new friend again. I can't open your link but do have their email. Very many thanks.
2) KATH NZ
The 1901 census showing mother Elizabeth as head of the family (Father Joseph died 1899 from memory) is for Newcastle on Tyne
PRO RG13/4794 Civil Parish Heaton p86 Ecc. Parish St Gabriel, address 21 Third Avenue. The list of children starts with Alice
then Joseph. NB henry/harry is NOT down. My gm was hILDA who is down.
Out of interest why do you wish to look this up?
3) ESSBEE
Thanks so much for the link you gave me. I can't access this ("server not found") because think it's for Ancestry Oz.
however believe that it's from the WA person who I have previously said was helping me. So I don't know what the
message says - are you able to copy and paste it here so that others (inc. me) know what she says ie what work has been done?.
is that too much to ask? Sorry I was a typist but have no idea about typing tricks on laptops!
Very many thanks to all of you for helping me. I am extrememy grateful. What I really need to know is whether to give
up or not. In view of Wiluna being so remote guess I have to. Just wish I could get a response from Wiluna about the
person they told me about last year but will try again. Rather infuriating in view of the cryptic information
What is so annoying with this work both here and in Oz (and I assume everywhere) is that one finds a name that might fit
but then there's no way of knowing if that's the right person until one orders a certificate. Having said that though, here
if I give all the details I have they do check them out. However with WA Registrar of BMD they refused point blank to
check whether details matched and told me to buy the certificates.

I'd be happy to copy and paste it, but I'm not sure about the 'etiquette' of doing that. Can anyone else tell me if it's okay? (I'm still new to posting things here.)
In the meantime, this is the link to the same message on the uk site - see if that works (it worked for me without logging in):

Links to Ancestry - in fact, any commercial website - are not allowed on Brit-Gen, which is why the link has been split.
If the link as it is now shown is copied/pasted into your browser, then the connection can be made.
Have a read of the Terms of Service and all will be revealed.

WAITABIT Thanks for your words of wisdom about waiting - is that why you post your messages under name Waitabit?!
I was hoping to come out to Oz to visit the places where some of the family were. have been several times and adore
Sydney but this time would start in Perth - in fact please see Essbee's message below. She gives the UK link for the Oz one
i can't access. i can access the UK one and it is from my friend but NB posted last summer - oops July!
Brilliant to have that posted here as that gives all the info. So yes she checked all Oz cemeteries. As i said previously
since she was a Watson she eliminated all the people I had down as possibilities.
ESSBEE Thanks" That's fantastic as I can access that and so know I can refresh my memory - see my reply to Waitabit above.
Since then the only update is that I switched to trying to find out about Harry's wife Jean here. In the end I have found her
which was extrememly dificult, for
reasons I won't bore you with (!) I had hoped there were descendants for her but there aren't. Ironically i have her death
in Perth which I found when I was in the Battye Library in 1987 just thru some snippets of info from my gm. But her birth
was difficult to find and I had just about given up as the details she gave on her marriage certificate for her father were in
fact for her grandfather!. Also on the marriage certificate she was in fact Jane. It seems that people born in Scotland have
a "Sunday" name.
I had given up trying to find Harry but then decided to post a message here having just joined the site. I was thinking of
coming to Perth to visit where Harry's brother Frank died in the sanitorium (see the link you gave me), Jean's grave altho
and Wiluna but not sure of the wisdom of the latter in view of how remote it is.
thanks to everyone
Jill

You're close,- story of my life rather. I was going to suggest googling it, as we have here a grassy plant with velcro like little tentacles which adhere to your clothes & really make you waitabit while you try to get them off. (I'm a little bit tenacious too, try not to let lifes petty annoyances deter me. Survival technique)WAITABIT Thanks for your words of wisdom about waiting - is that why you post your messages under name Waitabit?!
Internet showed more than I bargained for, I got lost in some of the piccies & a song.
I like the way you have answered everyone in context with their names making replies obvious. All in one post, tidy!.
If you want to answer post you can click the 'reply with quote tab below, then hi-light & delete bits you don't need.
Same to use from else-where, high light the piece, left mouse click-copy- then click where you want it to be ,-left click-paste. voila!
You can change wording to make it yours if necessary. give dues to person you 'borrowed from' as well if you can.Happy Families
