HI i found what i think is my ggrandad army discharge but i need some help i found the info on FMP.
George YORK rifle brigade reg (princes' consort own) no 1339 / 4
rifle depot 38
date of application 28 July 1877 conduct good
£20 pay to rifle depot
days towards pension 32
discharge date 4 Aug 1877
My ggrandad was born 1855 bow london, married 1873 and his 2nd child was born 11 aug 1877 and died 1937 in Poplar london.
Is the above record likely to be my ggrandad? i can't see any further info for this chap. Also 32 days is that all he served? did he buy his way out? Any help or info on deciphering the above record much appreciated!!!!
many thanks Helen

the way I read it, he bought himself out after 32 days. I believe that that is what the £20 was for.
