But is it likely that a son with the same name as his father could marry a girl with the same name as his mother. Then again Walter 1861 census has the same occupation as the Walter on the 1871 census. Would it be any use getting one of the childrens( from the 1871 census) birth certificates. This would have Louisa's maiden name so perhaps she could be traced via census to see if she had a mother Violet?

Hello.
I've now got the Birth ceriiificate for Diverus Smith born Divorah Smith 1872. It shows his mother as Louisa Smith formerly Smith. Husband Walter. As you may recall Louisa on the 1871 census peice 3279 folio78 page 14 had a Violet living with her, Walter and family. Violet was listed as to head of family as Mother. But it was clear from the 1861 peice 2308 Folio12 page 21 that Walter's Mother was Louisa. Thinking that Violet might be Louisa's Mother i looked for a Louisa Smith on the 1851 census born about 1842 Leicestershire with a Mother Violet. The only one i could find was Louisa with parents William and Louisa. And the only Violet i did come across in the census didn't have a child Louisa. As it's been proven that Violet was not Walter's mother think we've got to assume that she was Louisa's. Alla bit confusing but if anyone has an opinion or suggestions regarding above i'd appreciate it.
