    Default Surrey Marriages 1673-1770

    Eng. (Diocese) Commissary Court Surrey.
Allegations for marriage licences issued between 1673-1770 in Surrey and London
    Search by name or year.

    archive.org
    /details/allegationsforma02surr

    Click on 'View the book'
Once pass the introduction, details of allegations are given in year order.
If you are searching by name there is an index at the back and I found it easier to change the view to thumbnails.
Click on the Zoom icon to see the page number.
Enter the page number into the search box or use the little slider hand at the bottom of the screen.

    Good Luck

I found some of the details quite fascinating but was surprised how many couples lived at their abode for only 4 weeks.
This must have been the requirement time before they could marry in the church/parish?

The really interesting ones were those under age.

I'd love to find the allegations for the next 100 years!
