That looks spot on, Nicolina. There's a likely remarriage for Queenie which would fit with her being a war widow: FreeBMD has a Queenie C. Chisholm marrying Frank D. Morris in the Isle of Wight district in 1922. The Isle of Wight BMDs site shows the birth of a Morris child the next year; in the column headed 'other names' it says 'LAYTON, CHISHOLM' (presumably the mother's maiden name and former married name).

I fear that family history may have repeated itself: 32 year old Donald Chisholm, Sapper in 294 Field Coy, Royal Engineers, died 16/04/1945 according to the CWGC. He is buried in Uden War Cemetery. There's no information about the next-of-kin but with a d.o.b. of about 1913 this looks suspiciously like the son of Robert F. Chisholm junior.

    I hope I am wrong.

Ancestry says that with this death date, this Donald Chisholm is from Inverness.

    Yes and no....

Yes, there should be a date of birth (as long as the informant knew it) but not because it is post 1960. Skin of teeth time - birth dates started being recorded on death certificates from 1st April 1969.
