Thank you very much Malcolm, As the only Pres(s)dee's living in Hopsay are all the same family (my Mum's line) this has got to be Francis b. 1832 brother of Susan.
Right now to find a marriage.
Thanks again
Terry

Thank you very much Malcolm. I do know about Jane. I have access to her tree on Anc***ry. Sometimes it's the chase rather than the catch when trying to find information on someone if you know what I mean. And besides it's never a good idea to copy stuff from others trees without checking it for your self.
As I say I do have access to Jane's tree but I don't have access to the census information on there. All I get is what Jane has entered.
I met Jane and her mother at the Michaelmas fair in Bishops Castle last year. Jane's Mum was over to do a book signing for a book she had written 'From Perry Gutter To Birmingham, The Story of a Shropshire Girl'. It was about Hilda May Pressdee, Janes grandmother. My great grandfather gets a mention. Turns out Jane and I are 3rd cousins. Our great grandfathers were brothers.
I only have access to the 1881 census, but I see Jane, like me, has had no luck finding Francis in the 1881 census.
The marriage I found in post#12, turns out is the correct one, as that is what Jane has in her tree.
I thank you all very much for the census lookups you have done. I now have backup evidence for that family in my tree.
Terry
