Hi,
I've recently discovered a branch of my family who were master butchers and some also where cattle dealers in Stafford, Staffordshire.
The families were the Deans and Hales and I've managed to trace them back to the mid 18th century.
Does anyone know of any source material that would give me information on the life and working of butchers or cattle dealers from the 18th century.
Kind regards
Adrian

No, I know nothing so I googled "18th century cattle dealers & butchers" & so much info came up that I scurried back here to tell you to do same, without even looking at sites. many & various areas were there.
