Folks,
I have a couple,Frederick Reeves and Ann Trethowan who married in 1788 at St Leonards,Shoreditch but i can find nothing concrete for their baptisms.IGI batches have baptism for Reeves but none for my man,can find nothing for Trethowan. My question is,how long winded will the process of elimination at LMA be,and is it practical to undertake this search from Australia?
Eric

I see that the marriage was by licence. I rather think you would be best advised to track down the marriage licence allegation/bond as a next step.I have a couple,Frederick Reeves and Ann Trethowan who married in 1788 at St Leonards,Shoreditch

Trethowan sound Cornish Eric. The marriage bond says they were both 21 and of this parish.

Have the allegation, not really helpful as it only records they are both over 21 years.Their death records in the parish show their births around 1760.

Sue,
Descendants haven't been a drama but finding their baptisms is.Death record indicate both born circa 1760.

Folks,
LMA advise that all records they hold are now on Ancestry,so i am in the process of sorting out baptisms.
