eerrrr got the email in my gmail - how do I get it onto google docs? The wills were bought from the National Archives so I don't want to infringe on any copyright laws.

I don't think you really needed to move it from hotmail to gmail. I think you need to save the file to your pc (if you haven't already done that). Go to docs.google.com, log in and you'll see a big red button saying "Create" and beside it smaller button to upload a file.
Copyright isn't an issue because all you're doing is showing it to fellow researchers for a period in order to get help with your research. In any case, the National Archives has waived Crown Copyright on this sort of thing.

Goodness me!
Both links are working fine, well done you. I am sure that is an exercise that will prove very useful to many members.
Thanks to you and Batman (Batman?
)
I've always felt a bit envious that the few wills I have, were so very short, now I am not sure, you have pages of the stuff.
I think they need printing and perusing. This may take me a while......

Well done Batman (!) and kazza for working out how to upload the PDFs.
I don't have time to do a full transcription but have made a start on going through Thomas' will. Here's the gist of the first part:
'unto my dear wife Jane Pelling all the Plate Linen China Glass Household Goods and Furniture of all kinds which I may be possessed of at the time of my death'
£200 each to 'Thomas Mary James Sarah Elizabeth and Ann Sons and Daughters of my Bro[the]r John Pelling of Findsbury [=Frindsbury?] in the County of Kent'
£200 to 'Josiah Slee of Horslydown in the Borough of Southwark and the said Thomas Pelling Son of my Brother John Pelling' [his executors] on trust. They are to invest it in 'Government Stocks or Funds' and from time to time reinvest the dividends 'until Thomas Pelling Slee son of the said Josiah Slee shall attain his age of twenty one years' and then the £200 plus interest is to be given to him. If he dies under 21 the money is to go to the said Josiah Slee.
He also gives 'my Leasehold Estates and all the rest and residue of my Personal Estate and Effects' to the said Josiah Slee and Thomas Pelling [or their heirs/executors/administrators/assigns] upon trust. They are to sell 'all such part of my residuary estate . . . as shall be proper to be disposed of . . . except my Leasehold Estates' and invest the proceeds 'in the public Funds or upon real(?) or Government Securities'. The interest and dividends as well as the 'rents(?) issues and Profits' of the leasehold estates is to be used 'to pay the Expenses of keeping such Leasehold Estates . . . in good substantial and tenantable repair and in keeping the same Insured from damages by Fire and paying the Ground Rents thereof'. Any remaining interest/profit to go to his wife Jane during her natural life.
[and that's where I'll have to leave it for this morning: I'm off to Kew! If anyone else wants to take up the baton, feel free!]
