Have looked into the Avis Edwards from the 1841 census. A baptism for her is transcribed by Sally McCann on her web-site. Details are - December 9, 1815 - father William and mother Mary. Father's occupartion was a Miner.

No other baptisms of children of a William and Mary Edwards in Camborne between 1800 and 1820 to match the father's occupation.

Some more items which just tend to muddy the pond even further:
2 baptisms of children to a William and Mary Edwards - John [September 5, 1802] in Breage and Mary [October 6, 1811] in Virginstow. No ccupation for the father was indicated.

A marriage in Penzance on April 11, 1801. Both were residents of Penzance and were married after Banns. The names were William Edwards and Mary Richards. What is interesting in this marriage is that the transcriber of this record is one of my contacts in Australia.

A burial in Penzance on August 5, 1834 of a William Edwards age 23 a resident of Penzance. He was buried at Penzance St. Mary [Madron Chapelry].

I appreciate I am grasping at straws and that I'm probably wasting my time and that of others on this forum - but one never knows!!!
