Hosepipe Ban

This must be the wettest drought in history.
For our oversea's cousins information, here in the uk we have, in some parts of the country, a hosepipe ban to conserve water.
April here has been the wettest since records began. An outbreak of web foot growth and quacking may be on the cards.
Farmers were complaining bitterly in March, that if the rains do not come, the crops will suffer and the prices will go up.
Now they are complaining bitterly that if the rain doesnt stop, the crops will suffer and the prices will go up.

If this drought gets any worse we may all drown.

ps. Its now affecting this household, finding a window in the weather so as the wife can go out and mow the lawns.

How on earth do you get the wife to mow the lawns. Mine always complains that she hasn't the time after she's cleaned my car and my golf clubs, cooked my meals, cleaned the house and done the decorating. Do you think that she's slacking?

My spouse is still gainfully employed, so I have to pay outsiders to do it.

My lawn is so large that if I am constipated - one man can do the cutting, trimming etc. before I've finished - he wants payment as soon as he starts. And so I leave the cash in an envelope as soon as I hear him next door.

Hubby belly-ached until I agreed to cut our 2 1/2 acres on Sat. I showed him....... I caught the chrome trim on his large utility trailer with the wheel of the lawn mower.... If your spouse would like, tell her to pm me and I will tell her how to do it.... no charge...

No Mom to help.... I did offer my 2 1/2 year old grandson a chance to learn how to pick rocks this weekend. Our farm grows great rocks and we have to get the potatoes and corn planted so need more rocks picked.

Here in the Emerald Isle, we have no probs with droughts.........it never dries out.

Four acres of grass is managed by a cow and calf(for a few months), the odd sheep, and two dogs. What's left gets mown by me, and my trusty mower.
My partner is too busy digging and planting the spuds and cabbages in our poly tunnel.

We only have a tiny garden, but it's so GREEN at the moment. All you can see out of the kitchen window is dripping green fronds. In fact thats pretty much all you can see out of all our windows...
