Is 1841 census available for Ireland?

A number of my ancestors appear to have "commuted" between Ireland and Scotland between 1830 and 1850. I have a marriage record in Glasgow for 1823 and census record for 1851 in Glasgow. I have found no trace do them in England, Scotland or wales census. Working in shipbuilding, I believe they were in Belfast during 1841. Do any records exist to check?

The Irish censuses for 1831 – 1851 were destroyed as a result of a fire during the Irish civil war in 1922. A few fragments survive from the 1851 census but these do not include the Belfast area. Street directories are about your only option for that era. Some are on-line on the PRONI website:
