I may be being a bit thick, but is it possible to obtain details of a divorce that took place within the last 30 years? I've read conflicting information and wondered if the great brains on here could help out. I know the names of the parties and an approximate date (within 5 years).
Many thanks
Liane

I must say I find section 4.2. of the Research Guide extremely badly written. [4.2 Grounds for divorce: "Until 1971 divorces were granted on the basis of the bad behaviour of one or other party"].
It could mean that people draw the conclusion that divorce is no longer granted on the basis of "bad behaviour of one or other party" when it can be and is.
They should have had a short summary of grounds for divorce post 1971.
For a summary of the current grounds for divorce in English Law see http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Governme...orce/DG_193734malcolm99
