I've been researching my family for about six years. Have tried several other sites with some success, but also hit a few brick walls. I'm really hoping to find some help on this site

My main problem at present is finding what happened to a family member who was sent to Canada in the early 1900s.

If you put the word Barnardo into the search box at the top of the screen, various threads pop up where members have enquired about their own ancestors who have emigrated to Canada as children. Have a read of them to see if they offer any enlightenment.

Also, post the details of the family member on the Emigration board, and perhaps the super-sleuths can help to track them down for you
