Default National Geographic TV "Warrior Graveyard"

As I write this the US National Geographic Channel (natgeotv.com) is airing an episode of "Warrior Graveyard" about the Royal Navy. I missed the first few minutes, but apparently forensic archaeologists are examining remains of sailors to determine how they lived and died, with some pretty graphic (gruesome) re-inactments. Appropriate viewer warnings are supplied.

Also on the site is a graphic-novel style comic to go with the series:

Makes me better appreciate my ancestors in the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.

Interesting! Must keep an eye out for here.

I have a marine who saw service during the American War of Independence when England was at war on several fronts and was dealing with the French and Spanish fleets which supported the American rebels during the War of Independence. He ended up a prisoner in Havana when his ship was taken over by captured rebels. did eventually make it back to England when prisoners were exchanged. LOL

I can't even begin to imagine the life they led.
