Thank you lesleys, Like I always say it's like ringing the emergency service. It's better thet 2 people ring than no one ring at all.
Thank you again

Terry, if the marriages I check are the ones you're after will get copies for you (only 60p a copy - a bargain!)
Have you checked the Dudley Burial Site? (you already know about this from a previous posting)
There's entries for a George & Martha Rogers at Stourbridge Cemetery - Section P, Grave 862.
George Rogers buried 25/8/1932 aged 80 and Martha Rogers buried 15/7/1938 aged 78.
There's also George William Rogers buried 21/1/1992 aged 69 and Martha Lavinia Rogers buried 18/9/1981 aged 86 but these are at Gornal Wood Cemetery so not knowing dob's for your George & Martha perhaps it's the 1st couple above?
Also buried with George & Martha at Gornal Wood is Bernard Arthur Abbiss 16/5/2001 aged 73.
Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. But I will need your address please, so that I can reimburse you.
Yes I found them during one of my more lucid moments lol
I don't think (well at least I haven't come across) this family belong to me.
Thank you very much, your help is very much appreciated (<-word of the day lol)

Hi Terry
Have been to Archives but only managed to get 1 copy for you - Hartland & Rogers.
The marriage for Ethel Beatrice Rogers and Thomas Clifford Tompkins was in 1908 and the Archives only hold microfilms up to 1902 - the registers after that are held at Holy Trinity, Amblecote. The staff member I spoke to said that the Archivist is planning to go round all the Churches in the Dudley Borough to see if they will release registers that are now 100 years old.
Dudley is having a new Archives Centre built next to the Black Country Living Museum which should be open early 2013 so it may be after then as the present site hasn't got the room to store them.
If you pm me with your e-mail address I'll gladly send copy to you.

I know I've said thank you in private but I feel that I should say thank you on the forum too.
It's great.
Thank you again
