Would anyone be good enough please to post the details of the household for the 1851 census with the following individual on?
George Jones born 1828 London living Marylebone Middlesex
After a couple of years of leaving off the search for the Jones sideI thought I would have another go at trying to find this gentleman's parents.
Many thanks
Ewan

Thank you Annemarie
That could be the George Jones I am looking for, typical this one isn't living with parents so there is no confirmation that it is he. I will keep this one on file and see if it connects with anything later on.

Yes, I know lodger of all things.
I don't know that he was actually born in Marylebone, I only found that on the index for the census. All I know from the 1861 and the 1871 census is that he was born 1827 London (birth year consistant), was a light porter and a footman and lived St Pancras/Marylebone. He married as a widower, a labourer, in 1860 at St Pancras Church. dad's name was George Jones and stated as dead! I have never been able to find out who the first wife was or any children that were born to the couple.
I remember now why I have left this one, with the name of Jones I have no chance.

Just seen your latest posting, that is interesting as there is a George Jones (possibly dad) living in the same household. Another thing I thought may have been a clue of some sort was that George Jones and his second wife Emily called their first child Herbert Richard Jones and another one had the middle name of Benjamin thought the names may have come from the Jones family.
