My great, great grandfather, James Charles MARTIN 1819-1889, was a master cordwainer of Frome, Somerset and recognised as such in the local Kelly's Directory. His younger brother, Charles Alfred 1824-1913, was a boot finisher on moving to London/Middlesex/Surrey.

I'm always looking to learn more of my ancesters!
I have separately posted the brickwall concerning my Prussian ancestry.
There will no doubt be other opportunies on this new-found website to post/seek more information regarding my 'colourful' paternal ancesters.
