I'm trying to find the birth for Thomas Henry (Edward) TUSON and his marriage to Edith May MARSHALL.
I have a note (from a now deceased friend) that he was born around 1876. I cannot find an English birth so I'm assuming he was born in Australia. I've got Thomas' children born in either Victoria or Tasmania from 1898 onwards - hence my assumption that Thomas should be found in either of those two states. Note that he has an alias of Edward.
Are there any BMD records available on-line for Victoria and Tasmania? I cannot seem to find any.
Thanks for your help and advice
David

Hi Judy
Were your searches restricted to using the parents names because there were lots of TUSONs born in Queensland in the 19th century. Don't think that any TUSONs migrated to either South Australia or Western Australian so the results there are not surprising.
Thanks for looking anyway

Hi David
Just used the surname Tuson in the Queensland births 1829 - 1914.
The online index has just 7 results all children of a George Tuson born between 1868 and 1880.
On Trove there is the death of a Thomas Charles Lancelot Tuson second son of Thomas and Edith Tuson late of Tasmania.
This notice shows he was born c 1904 so Tasmania after 1900 looks like your best bet.
Unfortunately Tasmanian resources after 1899 are one of the few I don't have.
cheers

Hi Judy
Thanks for the clarification about Queensland - those were the children that I had found previously.
I stumbled onto Thomas Charles Lancelot's death on TROVE just yesterday afternoon - I find it a fascinating resource but I tend to get sidetracked by 'interesting but unrelated' articles

In this time frame, any birth certificate of their children born in Victoria will tell you the birth places of both Thomas and Edith, their ages, as well as when and where they married.... I've got Thomas' children born in either Victoria or Tasmania from 1898 onwards....
See the sticky at the top of this forum section to see where to get such a certificate - it can be downloaded instantly (in PDF format) for a price.
